Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect to define principles, standards, and design patterns securing multi-cloud and on‑premises environments. You will lead cross‑functional teams and collaborate with product and enterprise engineering to implement robust cybersecurity guidelines.

The role emphasizes deep cybersecurity expertise, Agile delivery, and the ability to articulate policy objectives to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 8 years of experience; alternative combinations allowed.
• At least 4 years focused on cybersecurity.
• Practical expertise in AWS cloud and on‑premises infrastructure.
• Ability to articulate cybersecurity policy objectives to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong written and executive presentation skills.
• Collaborate with Cox cybersecurity teams to implement best practices.
• Knowledge of ISO 27000, NIST, FFIEC and related regulations (e.g., GDPR, GLBA).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend cybersecurity policies, standards, and guardrails.
• Lead cybersecurity guideline definition across product and enterprise architecture.
• Develop secure design patterns adopted by engineering teams.
• Contribute to governance patterns and standards beyond cyber topics.
• Analyze risks and propose innovative security solutions.
• Ensure scalable, smooth release processes across teams.
• Define guardrails to promote secure adoption of patterns.
• Participate in security events and incident response to close gaps.
• Research emerging security trends and technologies for enhancements.
• Collaborate with data users and stakeholders to factor security into decisions.
• Integrate vulnerability management, governance, and compliance into standards.
