Job summary

Cox Automotive seeks a Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect to define principles, standards, and patterns for secure products and enterprise tools across multi-cloud and on‑prem environments. The role partners with cross‑functional teams to drive secure design and governance, reporting to the Senior Director of Cybersecurity Architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 8 years experience; other combos allowed.
• At least 4 years focused on cybersecurity.
• Practical expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and on-premises infrastructure.
• Ability to articulate cybersecurity policy objectives to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent customer service, writing, and executive presentation skills.
• Collaborate with Cox entities' cybersecurity teams to implement best practices.
• Knowledge of zero trust, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, virtualization, and containerization.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Fortune 1000 company experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 27000, NIST, FFIEC, GDPR, GLBA.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and guardrails.
• Drive cybersecurity guidelines across product and enterprise architecture groups.
• Develop secure design patterns with engineering teams.
• Contribute to governance patterns, policies, and standards.
• Provide complex risk analyses and propose innovative solutions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable release processes.
• Define guardrails with business and engineering teams for secure adoption.
• Participate in security events and incident response to close design gaps.
• Research emerging security trends and technologies for enhancements.
• Collaborate with data users and stakeholders to factor security into decisions.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity peers to integrate governance, risk, compliance, and continuous controls.
