Job summary

Cox Automotive seeks a Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect to define principles, standards, and design patterns for secure multi-cloud and on‑premises environments. This role focuses on secure infrastructure and services while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

You will lead cybersecurity guidelines across product and enterprise architecture, develop secure design patterns, and drive governance, risk, and compliance efforts with a focus on scalable, secure release processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
• At least 4 years focused on cybersecurity with practical AWS cloud and on-prem infrastructure expertise.
• Ability to articulate cybersecurity policies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Fortune 1000 environments.
• Knowledge of risk, governance, compliance, and secure design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Define principles, standards, and design patterns to secure multi-cloud and on-prem environments.
• Lead working groups to drive cybersecurity guidelines across product and enterprise architecture.
• Develop secure design patterns adopted by engineering teams.
• Contribute to governance patterns, policies, and standards beyond cyber architecture.
• Analyze complex security risks and propose innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable release processes.
• Define guardrails with business and engineering teams for secure adoption.
• Participate in security events and incident response to close design gaps.
• Research emerging threats and technologies and recommend solutions.
• Incorporate AI governance and oversight into cybersecurity standards.
