Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect to define principles, standards, and patterns securing multi-cloud and on-prem environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead governance, risk, and AI-integrated architectures across Cox Automotive’s infrastructure.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Cybersecurity Architecture and requires deep expertise in cloud and on-prem security, governance, and agile delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a related field of cybersecurity or architecture.
• 4+ years focused on cybersecurity with practical AWS and on-premises infra.
• Ability to articulate cybersecurity objectives to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27000, NIST, FFIEC) and regulations (GDPR, GLBA).
• Proficient in Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and guardrails.
• Lead definition of cybersecurity guidelines across product and enterprise architecture groups.
• Develop secure design patterns for engineering adoption across teams.
• Contribute to governance patterns, policies, and standards beyond cybersecurity.
• Analyze risks to information systems and propose innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable release processes.
• Define cybersecurity guardrails with business and engineering teams.
• Participate in security events and incident response to close design gaps.
• Research emerging security trends and technologies to propose enhancements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to embed security considerations in decisions.
• Incorporate vulnerability management, governance, risk, and compliance into standards.
