Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect to define principles, standards, and patterns for securing multi‑cloud and on‑premises environments. You will collaborate with product and enterprise teams and report to the Senior Director of Cybersecurity Architecture.

You will drive governance, develop secure design patterns, lead AI‑enhanced architectural efforts, and guide risk mitigation across engineering and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years in a related field; alternative combinations accepted.
• At least 4 years focused on cybersecurity.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and on‑premises infrastructure.
• Ability to articulate security policies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27000, NIST, FFIEC) and regulations (GDPR, GLBA).
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and AI governance integration.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and guardrails.
• Lead working groups to define cybersecurity guidelines across product and enterprise architecture.
• Develop secure design patterns adopted by engineering teams.
• Contribute to governance patterns, policies, and standards.
• Provide complex risk analysis and solutions.
• Ensure secure release processes with cross-functional teams.
• Define guardrails with business and engineering teams.
• Participate in security incidents and identify gaps.
• Research emerging threats and technologies and suggest enhancements.
• Collaborate to factor security into development and operations decisions.
• Incorporate vulnerability management, governance, risk & compliance, cyber defense, continuous controls monitoring, and identity governance into standards.
