Qualifications

• ASCP certification preferred.
• Minimum five years of hospital laboratory work experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological health science or Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Current and valid State License if required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operation of the section(s).
• Provide consultative services to medical staff as Technical Consultant.
• Oversee quality management/assurance program and performance improvement initiatives.
• Manage technical and fiscal aspects of the section(s).
• Ensure testing accuracy prior to reporting results.
• Maintain equipment maintenance documentation and staff competency.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
