Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Full Time Night Shift Medical Laboratory Technician to join the Laboratory Department. You will perform waived to highly complex tests in a CLIA‑configured lab and support patient care during nights and rotating weekends.

Candidates should have at least two years hospital laboratory experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a health science, and be eligible for state licensure.

Qualifications

• ASCP certification, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum two years of hospital laboratory work experience required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological health science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution.
• Current and Valid State License if the laboratory is located in a state where required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to laboratory procedures for collection, processing, analysis, and reporting of results.
• Follow quality control policies and document corrective actions.
• Identify and report issues affecting test performance to leadership.
• Perform diverse lab procedures using manual and automated methods across disciplines.
• Maintain instruments and equipment with regular preventive actions.
