Job summary

CRB is seeking an Automation Engineer V – Senior Lead to oversee the discipline at the project level and manage the discipline budget on simple to complex projects. The Senior Lead guides workflows and the design team to meet client expectations and project goals throughout all phases.

The role requires directing and mentoring multiple engineers and designers, advancing system designs, and ensuring technical excellence across project tasks.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in discipline-specific field (ChemE, ME or EE).
• Minimum of 15 years of experience, preferably in a design firm setting.

Responsibilities

• Works with a Project Manager on proposal development, man-hour planning and project scheduling for the discipline scope of work on large, advanced/complex projects.
• Identifies and resolves advanced non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveys.
• Develops construction drawing packages and writes construction specifications on advanced and complex projects without oversight.
• Provides lead and advanced support of construction activities such as RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch list development and construction progress reports.
• Conducts technical and leadership interviews.
• Conducts quality checking of documents for advanced complex projects and drives overall project quality.
• Provides mentorship to Discipline Engineer I, II, III and IV and/or Designer I, II and III
• Leads advanced project system design programming and master planning with support from Senior Engineer
• Leads a team of discipline staff in the execution of advanced projects discipline design and engineering

Education
