Job summary

CRB is seeking an Automation I&C Engineer III to lead and execute design activities across small to medium projects, directing tasks, budgets, and interfaces with clients, vendors, and construction partners.

You will develop automation control systems, create P&IDs, and ensure compliance with NEC and industry standards while collaborating within a multi-discipline team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience in a consulting or design environment.
• Experience creating and interpreting P&IDs.
• Working knowledge of NEC and related industry standards.
• Familiarity with mechanical and building codes.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors and construction partners.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with clients and external partners.
• Plans and directs work and manages a project budget from a discipline design perspective on small projects of limited complexity.
• Supports proposal development under the supervision of a Lead or Senior Engineer.
• Identifies basic non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveys.
• Develops construction drawing packages and writes construction specifications on intermediate projects of limited complexity and with little oversight.
• Leads discipline checks and drives overall project quality.
• Provides mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Leads intermediate project system design programming and master planning with support from Lead or Senior Engineer.
