Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Vice President of Talent Acquisition (Lateral Recruiter) to lead lateral hiring for mid- to senior-level roles within our Investments and Wealth Talent Acquisition Team. The hybrid role supports New York City, Pittsburgh or Boston and focuses on building strong pipelines and scalable processes.

You will partner with leadership to translate workforce plans into hiring strategies, oversee end-to-end recruitment, and drive diversity and efficiency metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or related field.
• 8–10 years of progressive talent acquisition experience with a focus on lateral hiring for mid- to senior-level roles.
• Proven track record as a senior individual contributor managing complex requisitions and advising business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end lateral recruiting for mid- to senior-level roles across designated businesses.
• Partner with hiring leaders and HR partners to translate workforce plans into hiring strategies and forecasts.
• Build candidate pipelines through direct sourcing, referrals, talent communities, alumni networks, and niche platforms.
• Manage structured interview processes, offers, and pre-boarding handoffs with a strong candidate experience.
• Advise stakeholders through intake sessions, pipeline reviews, and hiring readouts using market intelligence.
• Track and improve recruiting metrics like time-to-fill, quality of hire, and diversity slate depth.
• Maintain compliant, audit-ready recruiting practices with HR operations and compliance.
