Job summary

BNY is seeking a Vice President, Talent Acquisition (Lateral Recruiter) to join the Investments and Wealth Talent Acquisition Team. This hybrid role can be based in New York City, Pittsburgh or Boston.

You will lead end-to-end lateral recruiting for mid- to senior-level roles, partner with hiring leaders and HR business partners, and build high-quality pipelines. You will drive recruiting metrics, ensure compliant processes, and deliver a strong candidate experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• 8–10 years of progressive talent acquisition experience with a focus on lateral hiring for mid- to senior-level roles.
• Proven success as a senior individual contributor managing complex requisitions and advising business leaders.
• Strong direct sourcing, market mapping, talent community building, and referral programs; reduce agency reliance.
• Experience with structured, bias-aware interviewing and inclusive hiring; regulated environments preferred (financial services).
• Strong data fluency to use recruiting metrics to improve outcomes and guide decisions.
• Ability to maintain compliant processes and audit-ready documentation; effective stakeholder negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end lateral recruiting for mid- to senior-level roles across designated businesses.
• Partner with hiring leaders and HR business partners to translate workforce plans into hiring strategies and forecasts.
• Build strong candidate pipelines through direct sourcing, referrals, talent communities, and alumni outreach.
• Manage structured interview processes, offers, and pre-boarding handoffs with a focus on candidate experience and fair decisions.
• Advise stakeholders through intake sessions, pipeline reviews, and hiring readouts using market intelligence and data.
