Advanced Laser Systems Technology (ALST) in Orlando, FL, seeks a Sr. Manufacturing Technician IV – Laser Assembly to independently build laser systems from start to finish and lead complex troubleshooting in a high-precision environment.

The role focuses on laser transmitter manufacturing within a cleanroom, mentoring junior technicians, and partnering with engineering on process improvements while maintaining meticulous documentation and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 6+ years reading/executing optical/laser test procedures, drawings, and specs.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person required per ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, test, and qualify laser systems from start to finish.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of optical, electrical, and mechanical failures.
• Mentor and train lower-level technicians in assembly and troubleshooting techniques.
• Support engineering with process development, qualification and continuous improvement.
• Maintain detailed records of assembly, tests, troubleshooting, and solutions.
• Follow laser safety and laser cleanliness procedures in a cleanroom.
