Job summary

A major player in the Aerospace and Defense industry is seeking a Laser Technician for their Orlando location. The ideal candidate will assemble and align laser components and systems, perform optical bonding and inspections, and mentor junior technicians. A minimum of six years of relevant experience in optics and military grade lasers is required. The candidate must be prepared to work weekends and evenings as necessary. Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary degree with 2 years related experience.
• 3+ years experience working with optics in manufacturing.
• 4+ years experience with military grade lasers in production.
• Able to work weekends and evenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble laser and laser system components.
• Perform optical bonding, cleaning and inspection of laser units.
• Coordinate with Engineering to ensure production feasibility.
• Record, analyze, and interpret test data.
