Job summary

AFICS, Inc. invites applications for a lead level property claims adjuster in Oregon. This field-based role requires in-depth knowledge of homeowners property claims, strong Xactimate proficiency, and the ability to work independently in complex scenarios.

A valid driver’s license and licensing in property casualty are required, with travel up to 50% and catastrophe travel up to 75% as applicable. The position offers a competitive salary range and relocation support for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Advanced Xactimate experience required.
• 5+ years' experience handling field property personal lines claims.
• Experience handling claims over $50,000 preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• State-specific property casualty licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Investigates origin and cause of high exposure claims with insureds, claimants, agents, and others.
• Participates in HDRs to address coverage issues and exposure; handles claims in good faith.
• Handles 1st and 3rd party claims under multiple policy types and endorsements.
• Conducts on-site inspections, evaluates damages, negotiates with insureds and attorneys.
• Interprets policies and coverages and applies them to losses; communicates status to parties.
• Mentors less experienced adjusters and shares expertise as needed.
• May take on additional duties or projects based on skills and experience.
