MGM Resorts is hiring a Staff Commercial Data Engineer to architect and elevate Marketing and Revenue Management data platforms across Gaming, Hospitality, Loyalty, and Marketing. You will define the Lakehouse architecture, ensure governance, and mentor teams to deliver scalable data products.

The role focuses on certified datasets, metric consistency, and end-to-end data pipelines, with leadership responsibilities across batch and streaming workloads.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years in data engineering, data platform, or analytics engineering roles.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in Databricks or Spark environments.
• Expertise in Databricks and Lakehouse architecture.
• Strong coding in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience with Unity Catalog governance and permissions.
• Proven data quality frameworks and observability experience.
• Deep knowledge of Delta Lake internals and distributed data processing.
• Experience defining SLAs and anomaly detection for data platforms.

Aufgaben

• Define and own architectural direction for marketing and revenue data models and metrics.
• Design and maintain certified, curated datasets aligned to business logic.
• Architect and optimize high-scale Lakehouse solutions for performance and governance.
• Define partitioning, Z-ordering, file compaction, and workload orchestration standards.
• Build reusable ingestion, validation, and orchestration frameworks.
• Establish observability standards including freshness SLAs and schema drift monitoring.
• Lead incident response and remediation strategies.
• Mentor engineers and drive platform modernization initiatives.
