Job summary

MGM Resorts International seeks a Staff Commercial Data Engineer to architect and elevate the Marketing and Revenue Management data platforms. You will own Lakehouse architecture, drive metric consistency, and mentor teams to deliver scalable data products powering commercial decisions.

You will design certified datasets, implement performance tuning, and establish governance across Gaming, Hospitality, Loyalty, and Marketing analytics.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering, analytics, or data platform roles.
• 5+ years with Databricks or Spark environments.
• Expert Databricks and Lakehouse architecture knowledge.
• Strong Python, PySpark, SQL coding skills.
• Experience with Unity Catalog governance and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Architect Marketing and Revenue Management data models for consistency.
• Design and maintain certified datasets aligned to business logic.
• Build high-scale Lakehouse solutions with governance and cost controls.
• Define partitioning, Z-ordering, file sizing, and workload orchestration.
• Develop reusable ingestion, validation, and orchestration frameworks.
• Set observability standards with freshness SLAs and anomaly detection.
• Implement automated quality gates and self-healing workflows.
• Tune performance across batch, streaming, and analytics workloads.
• Lead incident response and long-term remediation efforts.
• Mentor engineers and drive platform modernization initiatives.
