Job summary

Eurofins Built Environment Testing seeks a Business Unit Manager to lead the Phoenix/Las Vegas laboratory operations. You will supervise staff, drive quality and efficiency, and ensure company policies are implemented. The role requires strong leadership, budget stewardship, and client liaison skills.

The position oversees safety programs, strategic planning, and collaboration with corporate partners to achieve growth and reliability in testing services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related field; related experience counts.
• MS or PhD preferred.
• At least 10 years of supervisory experience.
• 10+ years in lab operations with 5+ years in multi-department leadership with profit/loss accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead team, schedule, and train employees.
• Ensure adherence to the highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations.
• Ensure coverage and performance.
• Foster morale and teamwork.
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
• Manage the technical conduct, quality control, and related record keeping of all analytical evaluations performed.
• Provide planning, direction, and control to meet company goals.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental programs are followed and documented.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and peers.
• Assist in marketing strategies and technical proposals.
• Coordinate with other locations to meet customer expectations without duplicating testing.
• Oversee budgeting, capital expense decisions, and revenue growth.
• Represent the laboratory in technical meetings.
