Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) seeks a Laboratory Director to lead a high‑performing team, drive profitability, and ensure quality in environmental analysis. You will coordinate with multiple departments to meet budgets, KPIs, and client needs while fostering a safe, collaborative lab culture.

The role requires strategic leadership, a scientific degree, and hands-on experience managing 20+ scientists and technicians, including GCMS workflows and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific field.
• Minimum of 7 years of environmental lab management experience.
• Experience managing a team of at least 20 scientists and technicians.
• Proficiency in GCMS techniques and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall operational and administrative leadership for laboratory operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, compliance, and financial performance.
• Drive revenue growth and profitability while meeting turnaround time, quality, and customer service objectives.
• Oversee implementation of new technologies, methods, and systems to support growth and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and mentor staff, manage performance, and ensure safe, compliant lab operations.
• Collaborate with QA to develop and review SOPs and ensure audit-ready processes across departments.
• Provide monthly performance reports and support workforce planning and recruitment.
