Job summary

LeoForce in Providence, RI seeks an experienced Labor Relations Manager to oversee all aspects of labor relations and union contracts. The role requires crafting agreements, negotiating contracts, and advising management on labor law compliance.

Collaboration with HR and management is essential to align policies with labor regulations. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in labor relations, JD preferred, and strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• JD preferred but not required; RI bar a plus.
• 5+ years of labor relations experience with unions.
• Proven ability to craft agreements and negotiate union contracts.
• Strong knowledge of labor agreements, HR, and labor laws.
• Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of labor relations within the organization.
• Develop, implement, and manage company policies and procedures related to labor relations.
• Create and craft agreements, negotiate union contracts, and strategize negotiation tactics.
• Provide overall union contract administration, including language interpretation and guidance on labor issues.
• Oversee the grievance process, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution of issues.
• Collaborate with human resources and management to ensure alignment with policies and labor laws.
• Advise management on labor law regulations, ensuring compliance and mitigating legal risks.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with union representatives and employees.
