• Advanced knowledge of state and federal employment laws and court decisions.
• Ability to lead and mentor other labor relations professionals.
• Ability to handle difficult or volatile situations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Labor Relations Advisory & Employment Law Compliance: advise on complex issues and interpret policies and laws.
• Conflict Management, Grievance Resolution & Team Leadership: resolve complaints, oversee investigations, and guide staff.
• Systemwide Bargaining Representation & Arbitration: participate in systemwide bargaining and sign-off on agreements.
• Labor Relations Leadership & Union Relationship Management: lead teams and maintain relationships with unions.
• Article 5: ensure contracting-out compliance and reporting, coordinate with stakeholders.
• Collective Bargaining Strategy & Contract Negotiations: help develop positions and lead local bargaining.
