Jobot seeks an experienced employment attorney to join our labor and employment practice in New York. You will represent employers, shape litigation strategy, and own significant case responsibilities while mentoring a collaborative team.

Direct client engagement and strategic guidance are core to this role. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, 5+ years of experience, and a track record in drafting persuasive briefs and motions.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience handling labor and employment matters.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Experience managing litigation matters with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Demonstrated ability to draft high-quality legal briefs, motions, and other advocacy documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience advising employers on workplace legal issues is beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Manage employment litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle.
• Conduct witness interviews and factual investigations.
• Review and analyze large volumes of electronic documents and evidence.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation filings.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Attend court hearings, conferences, and other proceedings.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding strategy, case developments, and risk assessments.
• Negotiate and correspond with opposing counsel.
• Provide guidance on employment-related legal issues and workforce management concerns.
• Assist clients with workplace policies, employee relations matters, and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups on complex legal issues.
