Job summary

Jobot is seeking an associate to join our Labor and Employment practice, representing employers in a wide range of workplace-related matters. This role blends litigation and counseling, providing the opportunity to defend employment claims while also advising clients on day-to-day employment issues.

You will work on matters in courts and before administrative forums, while partnering with management teams on compliance, risk mitigation, and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of labor and employment or general litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in employment-related litigation and administrative proceedings
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex employment law issues
• Manage discovery, including document review, written discovery, and depositions
• Participate in hearings, mediations, and dispute resolution processes
• Advise clients on employment-related issues, including workplace policies and employee relations
• Assist with compliance guidance and risk assessment related to employment laws
• Collaborate with attorneys on litigation strategy and case development
