Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories in Phoenix, AZ seeks an experienced Technical Coordinator to apply high-level technical knowledge to department testing and regulatory compliance. You will lead workflow, supervise staff in the absence of the section supervisor, and ensure adherence to CLIA ’88, JCAHO, CAP and OSHA standards.

Key responsibilities include QA, quality improvement initiatives, training new personnel, and supporting cost analysis to improve department performance.

Qualifications

• Requires broad technical knowledge in laboratory testing and regulatory standards.
• Must be able to supervise workflow and assist with competency assessments.
• Familiarity with quality control, QA policies and accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced MLT/MLS duties with high competency.
• Provide onsite supervision in the absence of section supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA and accrediting requirements.
• Lead quality assurance activities and continuous improvement projects.
• Assist with staff training, orientation and competency evaluations.
• Support cost analysis and operational efficiency improvements.
