Job summary

Humana, Inc. seeks a Lead Kubernetes Architect to drive architecture, engineering standards, and lifecycle strategy for enterprise Kubernetes platforms, focusing on AKS and GKE.

You will partner with Cloud Engineering, Security, Network, Platform, SRE, and DevOps to define reference architectures, best practices, and roadmaps, while guiding multi-cluster design and GitOps-driven delivery. You will lead strategic and hands-on efforts for automation, observability, security controls, and Day2

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software/platform engineering or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Enterprise Kubernetes experience with AKS/GKE/EKS.
• Hands-on delivery of cloud infra via CI/CD and IaC (Azure/GCP/AWS).
• Experience in Kubernetes lifecycle management including upgrades and Day2 ops.
• Solid Kubernetes fundamentals: design, networking, RBAC, security, monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise Kubernetes platform architecture across AKS and GKE.
• Drive IaC, GitOps, and CI/CD adoption for platform provisioning.
• Mentor engineers and drive platform adoption and best practices.
• Incorporate AI/ML-driven ops and cost-optimization initiatives.
• Ensure security, reliability, and governance of Kubernetes platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to onboard applications.
