Job summary

Humana, Inc. seeks a Lead Kubernetes Architect to lead enterprise Kubernetes platforms across AKS and GKE, shaping architecture, standards, and lifecycle strategy in a cloud-first environment.

You will drive IaC, GitOps, and CI/CD adoption, mentor engineers, and partner with SRE, Security, and Cloud teams to deliver secure and scalable container platforms at enterprise scale. You will define reference architectures, multi-cluster patterns, and operations playbooks, ensuring Day 2 operations,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software/platform/infrastructure engineering.
• Proven experience architecting Kubernetes platforms (AKS, GKE, EKS).
• Hands-on with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code in major clouds (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Experience with Kubernetes lifecycle, upgrades, and Day 2 operations.
• Strong knowledge of networking, RBAC, pod security, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise Kubernetes platforms across AKS and GKE.
• Define Kubernetes reference architectures, standards, and reusable patterns.
• Develop and execute a Kubernetes product maturity roadmap.
• Drive IaC, GitOps, and CI/CD adoption for platform provisioning.
• Mentor engineers and partner with cross-functional teams.
• Support Day 2 operations, observability, and cost optimization.
