Job summary

Latham & Watkins in New York seeks an Associate Director of Knowledge Management, Senior KM Counsel, to lead and develop the KM team supporting the M&A & Private Equity practice. You will oversee KM strategy, allocate resources, and drive practice group initiatives, with a hybrid in-office schedule.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent required.
• Bar admission in at least one US state.
• At least 10 years of practice management experience in legal or professional services.
• At least 10 years in a management role.
• At least 8 years as a practicing attorney with a leading international law firm in M&A/PE.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and supervise KM colleagues assigned to the Practice Group (KM Counsel/Lawyers).
• Develop framework for lawyer involvement in KM activities and resource allocation.
• Distill deal datasets to prepare market insights for internal/external use.
• Monitor legal/regulatory landscape and communicate trends to leadership and clients.
• Collaborate with TechIS to drive AI-based workflows for provisions analysis.
• Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential information.
