Latham & Watkins LLP is seeking an Associate Director of Knowledge Management/Senior KM Counsel to lead the KM team, shape the Practice Group's KM strategy, and oversee workflow and resourcing across Litigation & Trial and Tax practices. The role supports practice groups with valuable knowledge assets, emphasizes collaboration with Legal Innovation, and drives data-informed decision making.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent degree required and bar admission in the US or relevant jurisdiction.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible practice management experience in legal or professional services.
• 10+ years of management experience in a legal environment.
• 8+ years as a practicing attorney with a leading international law firm, in litigation/regulatory/tax.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and supervise KM colleagues assigned to the Practice Group and guide their development.
• Develop a framework for involving practicing lawyers in KM activities and manage workflow allocation.
• Distill extensive internal deal datasets to prepare market insights for internal and external use.
• Monitor deal landscape and communicate trends to practice leadership and clients.
• Collaborate with Technology & IS leadership to drive AI-based workflows for extraction/analysis of provisions.
• Protect highly sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information handled by the firm.
