Job summary

Latham & Watkins is seeking an Associate Director of Knowledge Management, Senior KM Counsel to lead the KM team, shape group strategy, and oversee KM programs across practice groups. The role reports to Global KM leadership and interacts with Practice Group Chairs.

The position offers potential flexibility with hybrid and in-office presence across New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles/Century City, or London offices.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent required.
• Admitted to at least one US State Bar or other applicable jurisdiction.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive practice management experience.
• Minimum 10 years in a management role.
• Minimum 8 years as a practicing attorney with a leading international law firm in litigation, regulatory, or tax.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and supervise KM colleagues within the Practice Group.
• Develop framework for involvement of practicing lawyers in KM activities and staffing.
• Distill internal deal datasets to prepare market insights.
• Monitor deal landscape and develop materials for leadership and clients.
• Collaborate with Technology & IS leadership to drive AI-based workflows for deal provisions extraction and analysis.
• Protect highly sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information.
