This hybrid role requires time in office and travel to client locations, with 20-80% travel.

Qualifications

• 12+ years hands-on ontology engineering and knowledge modeling.
• Experience delivering production-grade ontologies in large-scale environments.
• Proven leadership in architect-level roles with standards ownership.
• Experience with Agile or iterative delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ontology lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Define enterprise ontology architecture: URI strategy, versioning, upper ontology alignment.
• Lead alignment between domain ontologies and enterprise semantic assets.
• Establish and govern ontology governance standards and quality gates.
• Lead SME workshops and drive stakeholder alignment across business and tech.
• Guide NLP/AI teams on ontology-informed features and data integration.
