Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to focus on Juniper operating networking systems. This role joins a team of Juniper specialists to resolve internal and external customer problems and provide feedback on root cause and prevention techniques.

Location options include Sunnyvale, CA, Westford, MA, Houston, TX, or Herndon, VA on a hybrid schedule with at least 3 days in office. Strong experience in routing, switching or security is required, with excellent problem-solving

Qualifications

• IP networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, subnetting, packet flow, OSI layers.
• Routing technologies: OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, RSVP-TE, L3VPN, L2VPN.

Responsibilities

• Handle high priority issues for top HPE Juniper Networks customers on specific Juniper networks products (MX, PTX, ACX).
• Build productive, trust-based relationships with assigned accounts.
• Take ownership of high priority or sensitive customer issues and restore services promptly.
• Work with technical teams to transfer knowledge of the customer’s networks and solutions; keep management informed of sensitive issues.
• Work with Juniper Networks teams and provide input on new products and feature improvements for reliability and serviceability.
• Collaborate with Service Managers to support high-profile escalations and customer understanding.
• Participate in customer conference calls and meetings to discuss technical issues.
• Develop and maintain skills in core products and highlight training needs as networks evolve.
• Contribute to technical documentation (White Papers, KB, Troubleshooting Guides) for internal and external use.
• Document issues clearly using available tools as an essential part of the role.
• Cultivate a Can-Do attitude and suggest improvements to increase customer satisfaction.
