Job summary

Early Warning Services, LLC in the United States is seeking an experienced senior software engineer to lead the design, development, testing and deployment of large-scale distributed systems. You will own the technical strategy, drive architecture across teams, review code, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, design and ops to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
Twelve+ years of relevant experience in software development.
Nine+ years building distributed SaaS and cloud solutions.
Eight+ years with Java/Spring; Maven/Gradle proficiency.
Demonstrated delivery of business-critical systems to market.
Ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
Experience designing scalable systems and event-driven architectures.
Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure).
Familiar with SDLC, Agile/LEAN, DevOps, and secure coding practices.
Background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Partner with software engineering, product, and architecture to shape approaches.
Own the technical strategy for broad or complex requirements.
Design patterns and code approaches for the department.
Review and validate code output across multiple teams.
Resolve technical conflicts between teams.
Drive architecture, design, prototyping, and implementation.
Represent engineering in cross-functional sessions and persuade others.
Lead a broad functional area with planning and execution.
Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering groups to deliver features.
Own features and systems long-term health and surrounding systems.
Assist support/operations in identifying production issues.
Develop tests to ensure quality, performance, and scalability.
Mentor other engineers and lead cross-functional projects.
Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Support risk management and data integrity initiatives.
