Job summary

Early Warning Services LLC seeks an experienced engineer to drive development, testing, and deployment of complex solutions. You will lead architectural decisions, collaborate with product teams, and own end-to-end delivery across large-scale systems.

The role requires extensive Java/Spring expertise, cloud experience (GCP/AWS/Azure), and leadership in delivery of business-critical SaaS platforms. Hybrid work across major US cities is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
• Eight or more years of relevant experience; seven+ years in distributed systems, SaaS, cloud solutions, microservices.
• Six+ years experience with Java/Spring.
• Proficiency in Maven/Gradle.
• Demonstrated experience delivering business-critical systems to the market.
• Ability to influence and work in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience designing/developing scalable systems.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging frameworks (Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of mature engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, secure coding).
• Knowledge of SDLC/DevOps practices and methodologies.
• Background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Build technical strategy for broad or complex requirements beyond the direct team.
• Participate in strategic development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.
• Drive all aspects of technical architecture, design, prototyping and implementation.
• Provide leadership and technical expertise to build a technical plan and backlog.
• Guide a broad functional area and lead team efforts in planning.
• Represent engineering in cross-functional sessions and persuade others.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineering groups on features.
• Own features and systems and ensure long-term health and health of surrounding systems.
• Assist support and operations in resolving production issues.
• Develop tests to ensure quality, performance, and scalability.
