Job summary

MO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to modernize VA eligibility systems. You will design, build, and maintain enterprise Java applications, work on REST services, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines. The role emphasizes Java 17+, Spring, and database integrations, with Agile practices and remote collaboration.

Expected 5–8 years of software experience, a CS-related bachelor’s, and hands-on Java development. This remote position may require up to 10% travel and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of software development experience in a professional environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java development.
• Experience designing REST APIs and web services.
• Experience with Oracle or other relational databases.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications.
• Analyze and resolve complex software defects and production issues.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and database integrations.
• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD processes, and deployments.
• Develop backend services using Java 17+, Spring Boot, microservices, JPA/Hibernate, and REST APIs.
