Job summary

MO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to modernize VA systems and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade Java applications. You will design, develop, test, and maintain backend services, work with Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and REST APIs, and contribute to CI/CD and test automation.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5–8 years of experience, and strong Oracle database familiarity. Remote work is supported with up to 10% travel and US citizenship requirement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
5–8 years of software development experience in a professional environment.
Strong hands-on Java development experience.
Hands-on experience developing REST APIs and web services.
Experience with Oracle or other relational databases.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications.
Analyze and resolve complex software defects and production issues.
Support enhancements and sustainment activities for applications utilizing Java, Spring Framework, Struts, JSP, EJB, JMS, WebLogic, Hibernate, Oracle, and related technologies.
Develop and optimize SQL queries and database integrations.
Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD processes, and application deployments.
Develop and maintain backend services using Java 17+, Spring Boot, microservices, JPA/Hibernate, and REST APIs.
