Job summary

Amentum seeks a junior software engineer or Linux system administrator to support multiple projects. You will set up development environments, patch software for security compliance, and update libraries. Opportunity to learn about configuring lab and production equipment and environments.

This role requires a TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance, a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, and at least one year of relevant experience. Docker, Maven, and CI/CD experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline required.
• 1 year of experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Minimal Java experience and Linux administration required; scripting/automation skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance software systems and components.
• Review tests, fix issues, and document results and design decisions.
• Contribute to hardware/software trade-offs and system design discussions.
