Job summary

Footbridge Federal is recruiting for a software engineering role in Rockville, MD. The candidate will design, implement, and support Java microservices and RESTful services, build data pipelines with AWS Lambda and S3, and manage data ingestion and transformation from enterprise sources.

The role includes participation in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and rigorous testing in a secure environment. The position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, a relevant bachelor's degree, and 6+ years

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline required.
6+ years of professional software development experience required.
Proven experience building Java applications and microservices required.
Strong background in REST API integration and web services required.
Practical experience with AWS cloud environments, including AWS Lambda and S3 required.
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the full software development lifecycle required.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support Java microservices and RESTful web services.
Create and optimize data processing pipelines using AWS Lambda and Amazon S3.
Ingest, transform, and normalize datasets from various enterprise sources.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, peer code reviews, and system integration testing.
Monitor production services and author technical system documentation.
