Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices for geospatial analysis, ETL, and visualization. You will interact with relational and NoSQL databases, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable software.

Required qualifications include TS/SCI with Polygraph, 20 years of related experience, a Bachelor's or higher in CS/SE, and strong Java ecosystem knowledge (Spring Boot, Hibernate).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; four years additional experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree
• TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• 20 years of experience in programs of similar scope, type and complexity
• In-depth knowledge of Java and Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.
• Experience with cloud-based development and deployment

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java microservices with strong geospatial functionality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable software solutions
• Lead technical design and implementation of geospatial features aligning with architecture and mission objectives
• Work with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical expertise
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members to ensure high-quality code
