Job summary

Spatial Front, Inc is seeking a Senior Application Developer for a hybrid role in the Washington, DC area (Suitland, MD vicinity). You will design, develop, and integrate Java backend applications and microservices in a cloud environment, interfacing with customers and SMEs.

You’ll apply Java EE frameworks, RESTful services, and AWS to deliver scalable, secure enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of software development experience, hands-on Java with Spring/Hibernate, React,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on Java development with three years of Java Open-Source frameworks and technologies.
• Experience developing Java-centric, scalable enterprise applications.
• Experience with microservices and APIs.
• Experience with Java EE and Spring/Hibernate.
• Experience with web apps, SOAP/REST, and deployment.
• Experience with REACT.
• Experience with AWS services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum.
• Experience leading or contributing to multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong interpersonal communication with customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and integrate Java backend applications.
• Develop microservice applications in a cloud environment.
• Interface with customer management and SMEs.
• Resolve complex design, implementation, and performance issues.
• Ensure security requirements are met with Information Security.
• Support all development and delivery activities from requirements to production.
• Collaborate to identify new requirements and improvement areas.
• Assist in evaluating new technologies and tools.
