Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Groups is seeking a senior Software Engineer to join our team onsite in St. Louis, MO.

The candidate should bring hands-on experience across Java, JavaScript, and Python, with strong emphasis on web services, API development, and cloud-native design. Ideal applicants will have extensive exposure to relational and spatial databases, microservices, and container orchestration, plus a track record in GIS data formats and geospatial tooling.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate must have firsthand experience in at least three of the listed areas.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Agile/Lean, with Scrum team lead a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, or TDD is preferred.
• At least one Agile certification (CSM, PMI-ACP, or CSP) is desirable.
• Experience developing customized code/modules/libraries for spatial analysis using languages like Python/Java/JS/etc.
• Experience with geospatial GIS including open-source and proprietary formats.
• Familiarity with geospatial data formats and platforms (KML, KMZ, NITF, TIFF, GeoPDF, etc.).
• Experience in API integration and ESRI/open Geospatial standards.
