Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group seeks a Software Engineer to support mission-critical enterprise applications across CMS functions. You will modernize backend services, utilize Java and Spring Boot, and collaborate across teams on front-end, data, and cloud components.

Requirements include TS/SCI with Polygraph, a bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of software development, and strong Linux, Java, Docker, and Oracle SQL experience. Core hours 10 AM–2 PM apply.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for this role.
• A bachelor’s degree and six years of software development experience; ten years may substitute.
• Strong Java development experience and Oracle SQL development.
• Linux operating system experience and Docker container deployment.
• Ability to work core hours 10 AM–2 PM.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, enhance, and modernize backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Work with Oracle databases and SQL to develop, troubleshoot, optimize, and support data interactions.
• Learn and apply additional programming languages, frameworks, tools as required.
• Update software requirements, libraries, and dependencies to keep applications secure and maintainable.
• Analyze and implement code changes from upgrades; perform root-cause analysis and defect resolution.
• Design and implement code improvements based on customer and operational needs.
• Collaborate with customers, developers, systems engineers and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and technical discussions.
• Support deployments and operations in Linux and Docker-based environments.
• Contribute to long-term stability, reliability, security, and modernization of enterprise applications.
