• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 10+ years of recent software development experience.
• Hands-on Java development experience with three years of Java Open-Source frameworks.
• Experience developing Java-centric, scalable, secure enterprise applications.
• Experience developing microservice applications and APIs.
• Experience with Java EE frameworks including Spring and Hibernate.
• Experience with REST/SOAP web services development and deployment.
• Experience with REACT and AWS services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and large-scale relational database design.
• Agile/Scrum methodology experience; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong interpersonal communication; US citizenship and clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and integrate custom Java backend applications and solutions.
• Design and develop microservice applications in a cloud environment.
• Interface with senior-level customer management and subject matter experts.
• Resolve complex design, implementation, and performance issues.
• Work with Information Security to ensure security requirements are met.
• Support development and delivery from requirements through deployment and production.
• Consult with project teams and end users to identify improvements and new requirements.
• Assist in identifying emerging technologies, COTS products, and testing tools.
• Support a client in Suitland, Maryland.
