Job summary

Man Group seeks a Senior Java Engineer for the Numeric OMT team to build and maintain the Order Management System that underpins the systematic investment process. You will work closely with the trading desk, quant teams, and operations to deliver a robust, scalable OMS across asset classes.

You will join a Linux-based stack using Java and Python, with a Tomcat web app and Micronaut-based microservices, employing Docker, Git, Jenkins, and modern IDEs to drive efficient development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Java experience in enterprise web applications.
• Experience with microservice architectures (Spring Boot, Micronaut).
• Strong SQL and database skills (SQL Server, Oracle).
• Proficiency with Linux shell and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket.
• Willingness to use AI-assisted development tools as part of daily workflow.
• Frontend: JSP/HTML/JS/CSS; modern JS libraries.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the Order Management System underpinning the systematic investment process.
• Collaborate with trading desk, quant strategy teams, and operations to deliver a robust OMS.
• Ensure the trading lifecycle from signals to execution is scalable and reliable.
• Gain deep understanding of cash equities, equity swaps, and futures across listed/OTC markets.
