Job summary

Man Group is seeking a Senior Java Engineer for its Numeric OMT team in Massachusetts. You will build and maintain the Order Management System that underpins the systematic trading process, collaborating with traders, quants and operations to deliver a robust platform for millions of orders.

You will work in a Linux-based, containerised environment with Java, Python, Tomcat and Micronaut, using Git/Jenkins/IntelliJ and modern DevOps tooling. Knowledge of finance and distributed systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Java experience in enterprise web applications.
• Experience with microservice architectures and libraries (Spring Boot, Micronaut).
• Strong SQL and RDBMS knowledge; exposure to NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Proficiency with Linux and agile engineering practices; Atlassian tools.
• Ability to work with traders, quants and front-office systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the Order Management System for Numeric trading.
• Collaborate with trading desk, quant strategy teams and operations.
• Ensure a robust, scalable and low-latency platform for millions of orders.
• Integrate data pipelines transforming signals into trading decisions.
