Job summary

Addepar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the Order Management System (OMS) team, delivering a high-performance trading order lifecycle platform. You’ll architect scalable microservices in Java/Spring Boot, ensure ultra-low latency and fault tolerance, and mentor teams while driving Agile practices.

Candidate will be hands-on, capable of shaping architectural vision and collaborating with product and design leadership to achieve business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience architecting and building complex backend distributed systems at scale.
• Expert in Java, Spring Boot, JVM tuning, and concurrency.
• Proficient in AWS cloud-native architectures and messaging with Kafka.
• Strong ownership, leadership, and cross-team collaboration.
• Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency trading platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical direction and architect scalable, resilient Java/Spring Boot microservices.
• Design next-generation trade order lifecycle logic for ultra-reliable broker connectivity and allocations.
• Architect enterprise-grade, event-driven data solutions using AWS and Kafka.
• Scale inbound/outbound connectivity across FIX, REST, and file-based interfaces.
• Mentor teams, promote Agile SDLC standards, and partner with product/design leaders to deliver roadmap outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to translate complex requirements into scalable technical plans.
