Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer in the Intelligence Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). You will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot, RESTful services, and modern software engineering practices for mission-critical systems.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in CS, 12+ years in software engineering, and hands-on experience with containers (Docker/Podman), Kubernetes, relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle),

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope into complex environments.
• Experience developing Java enterprise applications using Spring Boot.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and working with relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Experience with containers (Docker/Podman) and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Agile development, Git-based source control, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot and modern software engineering practices.
• Develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services for mission-critical systems.
• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Support modernization through containerization, Kubernetes, and architecture improvements.
• Participate in design sessions, code reviews, and Agile development activities.
• Develop and maintain automated tests and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Jira and Confluence throughout the SDLC.
