Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking a Software Engineer in the National Security Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). The role focuses on design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of a Data Dictionary metadata system built with Java/Spring, RESTful APIs, and a web UI.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph up front (no sponsorship)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• Total of 12 years of software engineering experience if no bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of eight years of software engineering experience
• Minimum of three years of experience in SIGINT, IA, or IT domains
• Minimum of three years of experience with modern Java and Spring/Spring Boot development
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and JSON-based web services
• Strong SQL and relational database experience, including PostgreSQL or equivalent technologies
• Experience working in Linux development environments

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Java/Spring applications
• Create a web-based UI for metadata specifications and a database for specifications
• Develop RESTful services for programmatic access to specifications
• Design and implement backend services and APIs
• Contribute to system architecture, design, and best practices
• Maintain database schemas and queries and ensure integrations
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment activities, and operational readiness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentors junior engineers
