Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join the Intelligence Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). You will help modernize a Java enterprise application using Spring Boot, Angular, Docker, and Kubernetes within an Agile team.

Lead development of RESTful APIs, design data access layers for Oracle/PostgreSQL, and influence architecture decisions while mentoring engineers and ensuring secure DevSecOps practices across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Extensive software engineering experience on complex programs and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user and system requirements to design, develop, test, and maintain Java and Angular applications.
• Design, develop, and support RESTful APIs and data access components for Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Support modernization initiatives including Spring Boot migration, microservices, and database modernization.
• Deploy and support containerized applications in Kubernetes across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests and support CI/CD pipelines.
