NinjaOne in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Java to design and build scalable IT Operations features. You will contribute to new capabilities and enhance existing services, ensuring high reliability for millions of endpoints.

Join a team of engineers delivering mission-critical cloud services on AWS, with a stack including Java, Kotlin, C++, Golang and Postgres. You will lead technical decisions, mentor peers, and own initiatives from design through delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java software development, especially for product applications.
• 5+ years of experience with highly scalable systems.
• Proven experience in scaling systems and solving complex design challenges.
• Strong knowledge of OOP design principles and practices.
• Expertise in API design and RESTful services using Jersey or Spring.
• Proficient in relational database design and development.
• Experience with caching systems, particularly Redis, is a plus.
• Knowledge of quality testing practices and delivering high-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of large-scale software applications with a quality-first approach.
• Influence critical architectural decisions to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Mentor junior engineers and set technical standards across projects.
• Own technical initiatives and drive improvements using data from support teams.
• Advocate for and implement quality assurance practices.
• Take on additional responsibilities to support team success.
