Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Java to design and implement scalable solutions for our IT Operations product suite. You will contribute to new features and support existing functionality, ensuring high-quality software used by thousands of customers.

You’ll work with a team of engineers to deliver mission-critical services managing millions of endpoints across global operations, with flexibility for remote work within the USA and hybrid options at our Austin, TX or Tampa, FL

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 10+ years of Java software development experience, especially for product applications.
• 5+ years of experience with highly scalable systems.
• Proven ability to scale systems and solve complex design challenges.
• Strong OOP design principles and RESTful API practices.
• Relational database design experience; Redis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of large-scale software applications with a quality-first approach.
• Influence architectural decisions to ensure scalable and maintainable systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and set technical standards across projects.
• Own technical initiatives and drive improvements using data from support teams.
• Champion quality assurance practices for robust, high-performance software.
• Contribute to additional duties as needed to support the team’s success.
