Job summary

The Clearing House Payments Company L.L.C. (TCH) is seeking a Software Engineer for the RTP Product Engineering team. You will design and enhance our real-time interbank payment platform, focusing on reliable Java services, Spring-based components, and data automation scripts.

Collaboration with product and operations teams is essential as we modernize toward cloud-native architectures. You will work with AWS, containers, and distributed systems, applying CI/CD practices to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
• Solid understanding of core software engineering concepts including object-oriented and functional programming, data structures, APIs, automated testing, and source code control.
• 3+ years in Java software development including analysis, design, development, documentation, implementation and testing.
• Experience developing Python scripts and programs for data management and analysis.
• Exposure to AWS or other major public cloud provider; familiar with cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and automated software build/deployment processes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for design, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong interest in building highly available and reliable systems.
• Ability to learn new technologies and collaborate within an engineering team.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain highly reliable software for real-time payment processing.
• Write clean Java code compliant with quality standards and secure coding practices.
• Develop components using Spring and Spring Boot; create Python scripts for automation as needed.
• Participate in modernization and cloud migration toward cloud-native platforms.
• Develop and maintain services, APIs, components, and automated tests.
• Contribute to code reviews, troubleshooting, and engineering design discussions.
• Apply CI/CD for automated build, test, and deployment; work with Kubernetes-based environments.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and operations; support monitoring and debugging.
